Kamakshi Ekambaram Trust, founded by Smt. Sharmila Gurunathan, as a tribute to her grandparents,Brahma Sri. Ekambara gurukkal and Smt. Kamakshi Ekambaram. The trust aims to conduct religious talks, satsang classes to impart cultural and moral values and doing services to the temples and helping the old age people. Our land is rich by its heritage, which is unknown to the young generation. So by organising such classes and services the trust revives the value of Sanadhana dharma.

Smt.Kamakshi, the wife of, one of the most reputed learned priests of Ekambaranathar temple, Sri Ekambaram, who had Composed krithis on Utsava Samprathaya, was an unsung musical persona wished her grandchildren must achieve those heights which she missed in her life. As per her wish her grand daughters, Smt. Sharmila Gurunathan and Smt. Sasirekha, born with interest in music, undoubtedly from the legacy of the grand mother, pursued their musical journey to achieve the unfulfilled dream of that grandmother.
